Will You Be Mine?

I spent several weeks before Valentine's Day making Valentines for my friends and family using glitter and glue.  I thought it was so cool to make designs with glue and then sprinkle glitter over the hearts.  I usually tried to cover the entire heart and then shook it off gently to see where the glitter would stick.  It was like magic!

A couple of nights before Valentine's Day, Mom and I put the glitter hearts, along with heart fruit snacks and a Mickey Mouse Valentine, in an envelope for my school friends.  I also made extra large glitter hearts for my teachers, and gave them a sack full of Hershey's Kisses.  I was SO excited to carry my Valentines to school that morning, and I loved getting lots of Valentines from my friends as well.  It was a great day!

Daddy and I got to spend a couple extra hours alone that evening due to Mama's parent teacher conference schedule.  Dad picked me up from school, and since it was a fairly mild February day, we walked part of the way home and rode two buses part of the way home.  I LOVED riding the buses!  Once Mama finally got home, we swapped family Valentines.  Daddy and I made Mama a special card, Mom had a couple treats for Dad, and I had special surprises from Mama and Daddy, Nana and Lolo, and Gramma and Papa.  I was especially fascinated by the Donald Duck Pez dispenser...candy and a mechanical toy all in one...every boy's dream!

We had a little family photo shoot that evening and made sure to get one of Mama and Baby Brother, since February 14 marked 30 weeks.  I can't believe my baby brother will be here in just a couple of months!

Hope you all had a Valentine's Day filled with love!

XOXO,
Elijah
