Growin'

Well, Mom is now 17 weeks along, which seems a little crazy.  Time is flying!  I've just been spending my time growing, growing, growing.  We went to the doc a couple of weeks ago for a routine check up, and all is well.  After waiting for over an hour and a half for our doctor, Mom finally got to hear my strong heartbeat.  She said that made the wait worth it.  At our next appointment, Mom and Dad will get to see me again and will even have the chance to find out my gender.  Stay tuned for the big reveal!   

Mom's also been excited to feel me moving around lately.  It's not all the time, but I've heard her tell Dad that she feels little kicks, and she's certain it's me!  She says that she had forgotten how much she loved that feeling.  Dad joked that he'll remind her of that in April.  ;)  I guess Lil' Bit liked to kick her in the ribs!   

Mom's feeling pretty well these days, although she had a fainting spell last weekend.  In the middle of cooking breakfast for her and Elijah, she got really light headed and dizzy.  Thankfully, she was able to turn off the oven and stove, grab a banana and glass of water, and get down to the floor.  She never actually fainted, although, she says it was her "mommy instincts" that kept her from passing out completely.  Daddy was out of town for a computer programming competition, so she had to keep it together for Elijah.  The good news is that it hasn't happened again since then.  It was just my way of telling her that she needed to hydrate and eat as SOON as she wakes up...is that really too much to ask?!  ;)
