27.5 weeks with Jelly Bean
VS.
28 weeks with Lil' Bit
Pretty similar bumps! And Mama says pretty similar pregnancies overall. Mom's feeling well, and her only minor pregnancy symptoms include occasional leg cramps, weird dreams, and light headedness from time to time. All of these were common during her first pregnancy as well. I'm kicking up a storm (especially around bedtime when Mom, Dad, and Elijah are reading together), but Mom's noticed that I'm not (yet!) as obsessed with kicking her in the ribs as Lil' Bit was. I tend to punch and kick a little lower. She's also noticed that the heartburn mentioned in the last post is not nearly as bad this time around, so it leaves her wondering whether or not I'll even have hair as a newborn. Mom and Dad can't wait to see what I look like!
Unfortunately, we're not getting the same amount of exercise Mom got when she was preggo with Elijah, but I suppose that's to be expected when working full-time and chasing around an energetic 2.5 year old in the evenings and on the weekends. We fit in walks/jogs when we can. Mom's feeling a little puffy in the face especially these days, but of course, that doesn't seem to stop her from eating entire bags of Hershey's Kisses and M&M's. We love our milk chocolate. ;)
We had our last check up about a week ago, along with the gestational diabetes test. Even with all the chocolate, the test results were normal, which is what we wanted to hear! Now that we're almost in the third trimester, we'll be going to the doc more often, so we'll keep you posted on how things are progressing. So far, so good!
Lots of love,
Baby Jelly Bean
