Settling In

June 23, 2013

The rest of the month of June was filled with settling in a bit and enjoying visitors.  Thankfully our guests were all very helpful and willing to pitch in, or at least kind enough to excuse the boxes!  ;)  Papa Paul showed up the day the movers were here, and then he and Gramma headed back home for the week.  The following weekend, Great Aunt Susie and Gramma brought my new bunk beds for my Evanston room.  Since Uncle Joey and Uncle Matthew no longer need their bunk beds at Gramma's house, I get to have them so that Joshua can have the baby furniture in his room.  Having bunk beds was one thing I looked forward to most about our move!  Unfortunately, I don't get to sleep on the top bunk often because I'm still a little young to do it on my own...and it's extremely close to the ceiling fan.  Dad and I tried to sleep up there together one night and we had a close encounter with the blades of the fan!

We spent the week of June 9-15 exploring the area.  Some of our favorite adventures that week include going to the beach on Lake Michigan, just minutes from our home, and heading to the city to see where Daddy's new job is.

Dad started his job on the 17th of June, and then Lolo dropped by at the end of that week because he happened to be in Chicago for business.  We hope that happens again soon!  We had fun introducing him to Joshua and showing him our new house.  I especially enjoyed playing with my new gyroscope with him.

Enjoy a few pics from our first few weeks in our new home!
