Thanksgiving 2012

We were blessed to spend Thanksgiving at Nana and Lolo's house this year.  Even with everyone's crazy schedules, we got to see the whole family.  Uncle James, Auntie Caedmon, and Tenzing flew down from Washington, Auntie Alicia flew in from North Carolina, we made the trip from Kansas, and of course, Uncle Mark, Auntie Caedmon, and Ronan were there as well.  It was a full house, and I loved every minute of it!  I especially enjoyed playing with Tenzing, as she's full of adventure.  I didn't always love sharing with her, but we made it work.  And baby Ronan was fun too.  He was a good sport when I piled wood chips on top of him when we went to the playground together.  ;)

Dad, Mom, and I flew in to SFO late Tuesday evening.  Even with a delayed flight, I was a great little traveler, but fought sleep until we were on the descent.  Thankfully, I was able to sleep through the transitions from plane to baggage claim to car to bed.  I was surprised to find myself at Nana and Lolo's the next morning!  That Wednesday, we went with Uncle Mark, Ronan, Nana, and Lolo to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.  I got to see a dinosaur skeleton and an albino alligator, as well as an awesome aquarium!  It was loads of fun.

To allow Auntie Alicia to join us, we chose to have Thanksgiving on Friday, so Thursday was spent just relaxing and taking trips to the local park.  Friday was filled with delicious food, including turkey, salmon, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.  I especially loved Uncle James' cranberry sauce!  We woke up early on Saturday to pack up, so that we could all go to the city together before catching our flights.  I was thrilled to play at Golden Gate Park with Tenzing.  I'd never been to a park with SO many kids.  My favorite part of the park was riding the carousel with my cousins.  I LOVE carousels!  We had one last family meal at Nana and Lolo's favorite pizza joint, Georgio's.  They used to order from there a lot when they lived on the Presidio.  It is YUMMY!  Grandkid approved.

The flight home was uneventful.  It was late, so I slept on the seat next to Mama.  We made it back to Kansas in the middle of the night and then had a lazy Sunday filled with naps and Christmas decorating.  I'd say, Thanksgiving 2012 was a success!!
